Misplaced ambition.

Gary Greenberg. He told me I wasn’t going to be any good as an Art Director.
What was your most embarrassing moment in this business?
Presenting two campaigns to a client, then returning to the office to see that they had fired us on the cover of Adweek.

Willingness to explore and execute unexpected ideas.
Do you have a method for coming up with ideas and solutions for clients?
Think about it a lot. Then stop thinking about it and go on with your life. The best ideas usually hit me while I’m watching reruns of Three’s Company, vs. while I’m concepting.
What makes a great brand?
Commitment.
What driving career goals do you still have?
Create famous advertising for clients my parents have heard of.
What’s the most important thing you’ve learned about advertising?
It’s never the same two days in a row.

Art Direction.

New York Yankees. There is no joke to be made in this department.

Lucy and Sasha are two stray mutts that my wife and I brought home. They are probably the world’s worst dogs. But I still let them lick my face.
