What got you into this business in the first place?
A serious of unfortunate events. Quite honestly though, advertising has too much of an effect on what I purchase. Very easily swayed, I had to know what was going on behind the scenes.

Who was a big influence in your career?
My cousin. She’s a marketing director, wine writer, personal dinner party chef and wine aficionado. Seriously, the woman does everything and she does it well. We should all strive for that kind of success.

What was “your finest moment,” the thing you’re most proud of?
Being the first person in my immediate family to graduate with a Bachelors Degree!

What attracted you to Santy?
Probably, this questionnaire. I think it’s important to keep a sense of humor at all costs even if the jokes on you once in a while.

Do you have a method for coming up with ideas and solutions for clients?
Would I dare say, “no” to this question and still have a job? Of course I do, but that’s for me to know and you to find out.

What makes a great brand?
Something that can stand on its own even if it has multiple competitors.

What’s the most important thing you’ve learned about advertising?
That sometimes it’s much simpler than we can make it out to be.

What talent do you wish you had?
To sing and play guitar.

If you had to live on a desert island, what would you miss most?
Chocolate Cake.

What can’t you live without?
Food and water, mostly.

What are your plans for after advertising?
Retire on some island or coastline and read in coffee shops all day.

What frustrates you the most?
When I can’t find my keys and they have been hanging from my fingers the entire time.

What’s your point of view about politics?
We have to participate in the political discourse somehow. It’s the reality of our world.

What was growing up like for you?
Growing up was awkward, weird and full of embarrassing moments. Ask me about my summer camp hiking experience after an ice cream social. Not such a good combo for someone who shouldn’t be eating dairy.

What’s your favorite TV program?
I love anything on HBO or Showtime.

Least favorite?
I can’t stand anything that has the word “real” in the title (Real Housewives, Real World, etc.).

What do you do for a good time when you’re not working?
I love to cook and dine out. I consider myself a striving food and wine connoisseur.

What was college like for you?
College seemed like a waiting room for the real world.

What are your favorite internet sites?
I love gawker.com, amazon.com and lonelyplanet.com

What is your theme song?
Forever in Blue Jeans – Neil Diamond
