What got you into this business in the first place?
My appreciation for billboard and guerrilla design. Size does matter.
Who was a big influence in your career?
The Geico gecko. My fellow reptile who really made it big in advertising.
What was “your finest moment,” the thing you’re most proud of?
What was your most embarrassing moment in this business?
I tried to eat my MTV Life Time Achievement Award. It looked like popcorn.
Is there a great client story you’d care to share?
Running late for a meeting once, and I tore down half of Kyoto to get there. Was in the conference room in time to share some great focus group results.
What attracted you to Santy?
The building. I would like to smash it.
Do you have a method for coming up with ideas and solutions for clients?
I see a lot of films, visit a lot of websites or even look at clouds for inspiration. If that doesn’t work, I steal something from Bogusky and level a city.
What makes a great brand?
Willingness to use a voice that breaks through, or uses a giant reptile as their mascot.
What driving career goals do you still have?
To earn the respect of Lee Clow.
What’s the most important thing you’ve learned about advertising?
Billboards are delicious.
What talent do you wish you had?
Ballet.
If you had to live on a desert island, what would you miss most?
Skyscrapers. Jets. Screaming Japanese running from me.
What can’t you live without?
Moisturizer.
What are your plans for after advertising?
Probably head to Dubai. Lots of new buildings to clear there.
Is there any food that helps you think more creatively?
Blondes.
What’s your favorite sports team?
Toronto Raptors.
What frustrates you the most?
The quick ones. Sturdy construction.

From up here, it looks like you’re all just ants.

What was growing up like for you?
I never really fit in anywhere. Always had to fight for a little recognition. I think that’s why I started shooting flames at stuff.
What’s your favorite TV program? And your least favorite?
Desperate Housewives.

Lost. What a riddle.
What do you do for a good time when you’re not working?
Set things on fire. I’m a pyro! So crazy.
Do you have any kids?
Not yet. Still haven’t found the one who will put up with my cats.

Man, it was such a haze.
