Is there a way out of the this Chaos and Rubble?

December 15th, 2009

Written by: Dan Santy

It’s confirmed: Out of this chaos will emerge a new and lasting consumer mindset. Numerous studies have validated this fact. Here are just a couple.

Nearly 70 percent of consumers still plan on continuing some or all of their new behaviors when the economy stabilizes. (Initiative, June 2009)

According to a survey from Context-Based Research Group, a new type of “grounded” consumer is going to emerge from the recession. These consumers are realizing that life is not defined by what they buy, and that credit isn’t a true measure of their financial worth. They’re moving to limit the amount of “stuff” in their lives, the survey found.

So, many sources can tell us consumers have permanently changed. What few, if any, are addressing the ergo?

I welcome your feedback, as this book – and this new reality – is a work in progress. We will all be learning more new truths as time passes.

Best of luck with facing the new landscape of marketing,
